Greyhounds need foster homes

Greyhounds are wonderful dogs and extremely low maintenance. Pups with Partners, a rescue program runn by Penny Zwart is in great need of foster homes for these dogs, considered 'athletes of the canine world'. Please contact Penny if you have room in your home.

Cesar's dog park tips

I just got Cesar Millans recent newsletter. In it he offers some dog park tips which you may find interesting. "In America, there are not many places where we can let our dogs roam off-leash, so we really have to maintain the safety of the few areas that we do have. If too many accidents occur or if a human gets hurt, these areas may be closed down. Park Construction Update

A week after the latest Trumbull Times article came out they printed a correction. John DelVecchio of the Trumbull DPW now says they cant begin construction until the fall.

About TDOG

On October 5th 2005, a group of responsible Trumbull residents came together to discuss the creation of a dog park to serve Trumbull's burgeoning dog population. The meeting resulted in a groundswell of support for such a place. Led by our founder, Louise Nestor, a dedicated group of Trumbull volunteers pledged to work together to form... "TDOG" ...short for Trumbull Dog Owners Group.

  • a fenced in area of 2+ acres
  • a separate area for smaller dogs
  • water line for thirsty dogs
  • a double-gated system for safety
  • The park will be a great addition to the Town of Trumbull. Not only will it allow your dog to socialize with other canines, relieve stress & work off excess energy... it allows you to get to know your Trumbull neighbors. All in all, it's a win-win for dog and residents.
